Hawking & Falconry Experience
Welcome to Anglesey Hawking. We offer you the opportunity to get up close to birds of prey, Walking with the birds and watching them fly from tree to tree and tree to glove, through the beautiful countryside on the Isle of Anglesey.
The walks are available all year round, We will introduce you to the birds before setting off on the walk and flying the birds, Our walks can take you around the lovely grounds of Tre Ysgawen Hall or alternatively we can arrange longer walks through the rolling countryside and woodland, During the walk we will explain a little about the history of Falconry and the terminology used in falconry.
Our hunting days take place between October and February. We will hunt over ferrets and dogs for rabbits and game. Pheasant hunting with hawks and bespoke hunting days for falconers.
Photography courses are available, these courses are suitable for all levels and abilities, you will be able to capture the birds in flight and photograph them in their natural surroundings. The photographic sessions can be booked for 3 hours or a half day, you may bring your own equipment or we have a full range of lenses from macro to 600mm in both Canon and Nikon.
Wildlife art courses
The art courses will be taken by local wildlife artist Philip Snow BA. Who is well known for his drawings and paintings of birds, the courses are for 1 or 2 day residential courses.
